Here I Am—Nervous, Honest, and All In

I Can’t Believe This Is My First Official Post!

And truthfully? This post feels a little terrifying to write.

If you know me, you know I’m not one to pour my heart out publicly. I’ve always been the strong one. The problem solver. The one who figures it out quietly and just keeps it moving.

But something’s shifted.

I felt this deep, quiet nudge:
It’s time to create something for me.
And for you.

So here I am. Hoodie on, nerves in full swing, coffee probably gone cold—but I’m doing it anyway.
Because this matters.

If you haven’t already checked out my About Me page, please do—it gives a deeper look into who I am, what brought me here, and what Hoodies & Hallelujahs is really about. (Although I’ll keep a few surprises tucked away for later 😉.)

Why I Started Hoodies & Hallelujahs

This space was born out of burnout. Out of motherhood. Out of faith, frustration, and those sacred in-between moments when you're just trying to hold it all together and still find yourself in the process.

I wanted to create something real.
Something for the moms who feel like they’ve lost a piece of themselves in the doing.
Something for the women who are healing, dreaming, and still showing up, even when it’s messy.
Something faith-fueled, but human. Honest. Raw. Uplifting.

This is for the hoodie-wearing, tear-wiping, dream-chasing women who are done pretending they’re fine when they’re not—and who still believe that something beautiful is waiting for them on the other side of this season. We’re chasing progress and purpose over perfection.

I created this space to pour into others the way I’ve needed pouring into—through faith, honesty, creativity, and connection.

You’re not alone in the chaos. I see you, mama.

You’ll find blog posts that sound like late-night heart talks and early-morning pep talks.
You’ll find stories about motherhood, identity, growth, faith, and maybe a few vinegar downed poutines.

But most of all, I hope you find yourself here.

And If You’re New to This Whole “Putting Yourself Out There” Thing…

Same, girl.
It’s weird.
It’s uncomfortable.
And it’s also wildly freeing.

This isn’t about being perfect or polished. It’s about being real.

I want this community to grow into a safe corner of the internet where we can be vulnerable and bold, messy and motivated, lost and found—all at once.

So if you’ve ever felt alone in your struggle, or if you’ve been craving something softer, deeper, and more you—welcome.
You're not alone anymore.

Here’s to new beginnings, hoodie hugs, and hallelujahs in the middle of the madness.
Let’s build something beautiful—together.

With love and shaky courage,
Mel Braz
